RABBITTOWN -- East Hall stayed alive for the No. 2 seed in Region 7-AAA after taking a 5-1 win over Banks County on Wednesday in the regular season finale.
The Vikings (14-11, 12-6 Region 7-AAA) got some help from West Hall, which knocked off Lumpkin County 8-7 on Wednesday. The second seed will be decided on Friday when Lumpkin County plays host to Dawson County. Lumpkin County will capture the No. 2 seed with a win while East Hall would finish second with a Lumpkin County loss.
Jonah Crocker led the offense with three hits, including a double and two RBI.
Jack Hagwood provided the pitching going six innings allowing just one earned run on five hits and five walks while striking out five.
East Hall grabbed the early lead in the bottom of the first when Jesse Cooper singled and scored on Crocker's double.
The Vikings added a run in the third on another RBI hit by Crocker and blew the game open with three more runs in the sixth.
