TOCCOA - The Georgia State Patrol has identified the young teen killed in a Sunday afternoon bicycle-truck crash as 13-year-old Dameon Malachi Roach.

Sr. Trooper Jason Stephens of GSP Post 7 in Toccoa said the wreck involving Roach's bicycle and a pickup truck was reported at 12:56 p.m. on Nub Garland Road at North Hicks Road.

"Basically he just pulled into the path of a vehicle that was traveling on Nub Garland Road," Stephens said.

That vehicle was a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by 40-year-old Misty Dawn Robertson of Toccoa. No one in Robertson's vehicle was injured.

There are no charges in the wreck, which was investigated by GSP, GSP's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team and the Stephens County Coroner's Office.

"He pulled out in front of her - it was just a tragic accident," Stephens said.
