VIDEO: Celebrity Server Night raises $12,000 for Edmonson-Telford Center

The results are in: This year's Celebrity Server Night raised more than $12,000 to help fight child abuse and neglect in Hall and Dawson counties.

The event, held at Mellow Mushroom on Green Street last week, benefits the Edmonson-Telford Center for Children. This was the event's fifth year. The event uses local celebrities as waiters, and all tips and 20 percent of sales goes to the center.

Celebrities for 2015 included former Atlanta Brave and Hall of Fame pitcher Phil Niekro, former Atlanta Brave Kevin Millwood, WDUN's Joel Williams and Bill Maine, members of the Atlanta Falcons, Falcons mascot Freddy Falcon and members of the University of Georgia cheeleading squad. WDUN's Katie B. Davis broadcast her show, "Game On," live from the event.

The Edmondson-Telford Center provides services to Hall and Dawson County residents under the age of 18 who are victims of sexual or severe physical abuse or neglect. Since 1997, the center has served more than 1,200 children and families.
