“We are very pleased to be able to continue to offer our students the finest education possible in this industry,” said North Georgia Technical College Vice President for Academic Affairs Kathie Ivester. “This credential affirms the high quality of instruction given by Glenn Jordan and Barry Benfield, and we are proud of their efforts to maintain this accreditation from HVAC Excellence.”
HVAC Excellence is a not-for-profit organization created in 1994 to improve the technical workforce of the HVACR (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) industry through quality education. The process involved an independent third party review of HVAC programs to validate that established standards are met to properly train the future workforce.
Standards require a thorough examination of: mission of the program, administrative responsibilities, finances and funds, curriculum, instructional plans, facilities, equipment and tools, cooperative training, and instructors’ qualifications.
