DEMOREST - Like Christian churches across the world, The Torch Worship Center near Demorest observes Holy Week activities, including Good Friday and Easter.
What makes The Torch somewhat unique is its annual Three Crosses display where several church members take their turn on a wooden cross beside Jesus on Good Friday.
The symbolic display always draws members of the congregation, visitors, and motorists passing by on busy Georgia 105 (Cannon Bridge Road) to gather to witness it and reflect.
Church members, those from the community and anyone passing by is invited to stop and reflect or to pray at the foot of the cross.
