Baseball: East Hall gets comeback win over Lumpkin

DAHLONEGA -- East Hall's Jack Hagwood drove in the winning run in the seventh inning to propel the Vikings to a 4-3 win over Lumpkin County on Wednesday.

Hagwood doubled home Jeremy Walls with the winning run.

It was the sixth straight win for the Vikings (8-8, 6-4 Region 7-AAA). Lumpkin County fell to 9-7 overall, 6-4 in region play.

Jonah Crocker kept East Hall in the game striking out six and allowed just one earned run in six-plus innings.

Joel Crotzer took the loss for Lumpkin County going the distance walking one and striking out nine.

Hagwood also recorded the save getting the final three outs.

Lumpkin County took an early 2-0 lead in the third. take an early lead, 2-0. Caleb Chastain singled and later scored on an RBI single by Gunnar Wood.
