Lacrosse: GHS slams Meadowcreek 12-1 to close in on history

The Gainesville boys lacrosse team moved within a game of tying their best ever season on Monday courtesy a 12-1 defeat of Meadowcreek.

The Red Elephants (4-6-1) got four goals apiece from Bill Hood and John Wagner, while Triston Wimpye scored three goals. Baxter Geyer added one goal in the win.

Gainesville can match its program-best mark for wins (five) on Thursday in its season finale.
