Video: Hamlin, Logano on Martinsville victories

Posted 11:25AM on Tuesday 31st March 2015 ( 9 years ago )
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series made its first short track start of the season on Sunday, as the tour did battle on the paper clip shaped half-mile that is Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Va. The action was rough and tumble right to the final lap, when Brad Keselowski nudged Denny Hamlin coming off the final turn on the final lap. It's time to take a look back at what the weekend's winners and frontrunners had to say about the weekend after the victory lane celebrations.

Hamlin was able to hold off Keselowski's final turn charge to record his 25th career Sprint Cup Series victory, and his fifth home state win at Martinsville. It's his first win of the 2015 season, and gives him a virtual lock into this year's Chase for the Sprint Cup. Afterwards, Hamlin talked about the win, along with car owner Joe Gibbs. We also heard from second place finisher Keselowski, along with Danica Patrick, who came home in sixth place.

On Saturday, Joey Logano made a bold three-wide move on a green-white-checkered restart to score his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory in a race that saw a wild fight for the win over the closing laps. Post race, we heard from Logano on the win, along with second place finisher Matt Crafton and third place finisher Erik Jones.

All three NASCAR national touring series have this weekend off. The Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series will return to action the weekend of April 10. WDUN will have live PRN Radio coverage of the full race weekend.
