WHHS student selected as finalists in photography contest

OAKWOOD - Every fall, Serbin Communications holds a College & High School Photography Contest - and this year a student at West Hall High School is one of the finalists.

Photographs earning top awards are showcased in the May issue of Photographer's Forum magazine. First- through Fourth-Place, Honorable Mentions and Finalists are published in June in the hardcover book Best of College & High School Photography.

Each year students from more than 900 colleges and 1,2000 highs reportedly participate in the contest each year - with more than 17,000 photographs submitted this year.

WHHS junior Mackenzie Smith was selected as a finalist this year. She is the daughter of of Stephen and Cheryl Smith of Gainesville.
