Lee McCoy finished the day at 9-under 135 and sits alone atop the individual leaderboard. He is a stroke ahead of the trio of Ben Griffin from North Carolina, Beau Hossler from Texas and Austin Vick from Kennesaw State.
In Saturday's morning round, McCoy -- a Habersham Central graduate -- paced Georgia with a 7-under 65. Other counting tallies were a 3-under 69 from Nicholas Reach, a 2-under 70 by Sepp Straka and a 4-over 76 from Greyson Sigg.
The Bulldogs' afternoon counters were a pair of 3-under 69s from Reach and Sigg, a 2-under 70 by McCoy and an even-par 72, the scored signed for by both Straka and Mookie DeMoss.
In the individual field, Reach is tied for eighth at 6-under 138, Straka is tied for 20th at 2-under 142, Sigg is tied for 46th at 1-over 145 and DeMoss is 80th at 154.
In addition to the five Bulldogs' competing as a team, Zach Healy, Jaime Lopez Rivarola and Sam Straka are playing as individuals. Healy shot rounds of 69 and 72 and is tied for 16th 3-under 141, Rivarola is tied for 38th at 144 and Straka is 84th at 162.
No. 25 Kennesaw State owns the team lead at 23-under 553, followed by No. 3 Texas at 557, No. 20 North Carolina at 599 and the Bulldogs and No. 15 Oklahoma both at 560.
