Gainesville Fire Division Chief Keith Smith said initial reports indicated the tractor trailer became stuck on the tracks and the train was unable to stop before hitting the rig.
Smith said one of the occupants of the truck was taken to the hospital, but the other refused to be transported.
The collision happened around 10 p.m., according to Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook.
