GAINESVILLE - Voters in four northeast Georgia communities will decide the fate of sales tax questions and a bond referendum Tuesday.

One of the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) referendums is being held in Hall County. (Click on the first link below to view the wording that will be on the Hall County ballot.) All county polling places will be open. The issue involves an extension of the current SPLOST.

Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee reminded voters who live in the City of Gainesville that because this is a countywide election, they should should go to their county precincts to vote.

Other referendums being held in the area include one on extension of the education sales tax in White County and an education sales tax in Dawson County. In addition, voters in Buford will be asked to approve a $37.9 million school bond issue. (Click on the second link below to find out voting information for these areas.)
