Hannah Hester scored twice to lead the Johnson girls soccer team to its first win of the season Friday, a 3-0 shutout of Stephens County.

Hester found the back of the net for the Lady Knights' first goal on a header off a deflected ball just right of the keeper in the first half.

It stayed that way until Hester gave Johnson a 2-0 lead on a goal on an assist by Evelin Avitia. Avitia added a goal later in the second half off a cross from Taylor Bell.

The Lady Knights ended the night with 21 shots to just six for Stephens County. Hannah Hodge recorded the shutout in goal for Johnson.

The Lady Knight (1-3, 1-0 Area 8-AAAA) next will play host to undefeated Lumpkin County in a non-area match Saturday at 2 p.m.
