Baseball: Miles, Atha combine for no-hitter as Trojans rout Gilmer

GAINESVILLE -- Aaron Miles and Drew Atha combined for a no-hitter to lead North Hall to a 10-0 rout of Gilmer in five innings Friday at Jody Davis Field.

Miles went four inning and fanned four before giving way to Atha in the fifth, who struck out one. Each walked one batter.

The Trojans tallied 10 hits on offense and plated nine runs in the first three innings to blow things open. Micah Strickland and Fowler Brooks each had two hits for North Hall. Tabor Mongero, Lincoln Hewett, Drew Coker, Matthew Cox, Jake Chester, and Brock Wingo each had one hit for the Trojans.

North Hall will play its second doubleheader of the week Saturday at home taking on St.Pius at 1 p.m. followed by George Walton Academy at 5 p.m.
