Erika Wardzinski of Dalton State leads the event with her 2-over 73 as she birdied the par 4 8th and the par 5 12th holes. Wardzinski has Dalton State in 2nd place as a team with a 317 total score while Washington & Lee leads the field with its 313 score including the 1st round 74 of Mary Frances Hall who sits in sole possession of 2nd place individually.
Piedmont's ASHTON MAMULA, a sophomore from Pennsylvania, carded a 97 on the day to place in a tie for 67th of the 81-player field. Mamula is also in a three-way tie for her spot as well.
The final Lady Lion competing is senior CORTNEY BOGGS who put in a 99 to finish in a two-way tie for 71st four spots back of teammate Mamula. The field includes players from both Methodist University and Huntingdon College, a pair of USA South members along with PC.
Eleven teams in all are competing at the event with Huntingdon currently in 8th place while Methodist sits in 6th. Oglethorpe, one of three Division III representatives from Georgia in the tourney, is currently in 4th place 19 strokes off the pace of Dalton State.
