Jase Latty (1-0) earned the win in relief for the Panthers (2-1), tossing 3 innings while striking out seven batters and allowing just two hits and one run.
Joel Ellis paced Jackson County at the plate, going 3 for 4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored. Meanwhile, Travis Vickers finished 2 for 4 with a stolen base and two runs scored. Ryan Fogarty also went 2 for 3 with a walk and a double, and Tyler Sartain had a hit and an RBI.
The Panthers will play host to Flowery Branch at 5 p.m. Saturday in Jefferson.
