Gun fired into air after altercation at UGA fraternities

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Police say someone fired a gun on the University of Georgia campus during an altercation between members of two fraternities at the school. <br /> <br /> The Athens Banner-Herald reports that UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson says no one was injured during the encounter between members of Pi Kappa Alpha and Tau Kappa Alpha. Williamson says police have identified the person as a member of one of the fraternities and he will likely face charges. That person's name has not been released. <br /> <br /> Police say the shot was heard around 3:30 a.m. Sunday after a verbal confrontation between members of the fraternities. Authorities say witnesses reported a man firing a gun into the air once from a second-floor landing of the Tau Kappa Epsilon house.
