Home in northwest Hall Co. destroyed by fire

GAINESVILLE - A home in northwest Hall County was destroyed by fire Sunday night, according to Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle.<br /> <br /> He said when firefighters arrived at the scene on Red Oak Drive off Price Road just after 9:15 p.m., the house was well-involved in flames.<br /> <br /> "These are the type of fires that grow very quickly because it extended up and got into the attic, and when that happens, usually the fire goes from one end of the house to the other," said Cagle.<br /> <br /> He said right now, authorities are unsure what sparked the fire. <br /> <br /> Cagle said four people are believed to have lived in the house. They were not home at the time, but they arrived as firefighters were mopping up from the fire. <br /> <br /> Cagle estimated damage to the home at $180,000.<br />
