OAKWOOD - Legacy Link will host a meeting next week on the redesign of senior centers in the area that are funded by the Older Americans Act.<br />

The meeting will be held at Legacy Link headquarters on Mundy Mill Road in Oakwood Feb. 17 from 9:30-12:30.<br />
<br />
The Division of Aging Services is seeking community input on changes in program models, meal options, average daily attendance minimums and ways centers gather feedback from clients and the community at large. <br />
<br />
"This meeting is to discuss and seek input on new proposed policies and procedures governing Senior Centers Funded by monies the Older Americans Act established by the U.S. Congress," said Lamar Gailey, Legacy Link's Community Program Manager. "The changes deal with average daily participation at each center, establishment of community advisory groups to guide center staff in programming for seniors and more flexibility in the way the congregate meals program could operate."<br />

Legacy Link, Inc. works with and provides funding for eleven city/county senior centers in the Georgia Mountains area.
