High winds, below zero wind chills expected in N. Georgia

ATLANTA (AP) -- High winds followed by a surge of cold air this weekend are in store for Georgia as multiple cold fronts move across the South.<br /> <br /> The National Weather Service issued a high wind advisory for Thursday in north and central Georgia, where winds are expected to gust up to 30 mph.<br /> <br /> A strong but dry arctic front will move across north and central Georgia Saturday. Much colder air will spread across the region Saturday night as northwest winds increase to 15 to 30 mph. High temperatures Sunday are expected to rise only into the upper 20s and 30s across north Georgia, and the mid 30s to lower 40s across central Georgia. Wind chill values will range from just below zero across portions of north Georgia to the teens above zero across parts of central Georgia<br /> <br /> Forecasters say that by Sunday, wind chill values are expected to dip below zero in northern parts of the state.<br /> <br /> (Click on the link below for full details.)<br /> <br /> (The Associated Press contributed to this story.)
