Region 8-A: Lakeview holds off Athens Academy to advance to semis

ATHENS -- The Lakeview Academy boys held off Athens Academy 60-58 Wednesday night in the quarterfinals of Region 8-A Tournament at Prince Avenue Christian.<br /> <br /> Tre Gober posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Lions. Josh Randolph added 15 points and five steals, Daniel Fadool had nine points, and Carter Reeves pulled down eight rebounds for Lakeview Academy.<br /> <br /> Lakeview next will take Region 8-A regular season champ Athens Christian on Friday in the semifinals.<br /> <br /> (In Class A, the only direct route to the state playoffs is by winning the region title. Teams may also qualify via the power ratings index score.)
