Region 7-AAA: East Hall, Banks Co., Franklin Co. all advance to state

HOMER -- The East Hall girls had four players score in double-figures in taking a 76-43 win over Fannin County Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Region 7-AAA Tournament at the Banks County gym.<br /> <br /> The Lady Vikings (16-9) led from start to finish in winning their third straight game.<br /> <br /> Jenny Edwards paced East Hall with 14 points. Jatasia Bailey, Ashlyn Ellison, and Kylah Mize each had 12 points for the Lady Vikings.<br /> <br /> East Hall will play Banks County Friday at 4 p.m. at Franklin County in the semifinals.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b>BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 59<br /> LUMPKIN COUNTY 38</b><br /> <br /> The No. 2 seeded Lady Leopards took a quick lead then cruised to the win to advance to the state playoffs. <br /> <br /> Kaitlyn Duncan had 18 points to lead the Lady Leopards (22-4). Jody Milford added nine on three 3-pointers for Banks County.<br /> <br /> In other action, Franklin County knocked off West Hall but no details of the game were made available.<br /> <br /> Franklin County next will take on No. 1 seed and Class AAA No. 1-ranked and undefeated Dawson County in the semifinals at Franklin County.
