Gainesville budget presentations set to begin

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Mayor and City Council will begin hearing budget requests for the coming Fiscal Year starting Thursday.<br /> <br /> Four requests are on the agenda:<br /> <br /> 9:00 Keep Hall Beautiful Kelly Norman<br /> 9:15 Elachee Nature Science Center Andrea Timpone<br /> 9:30 Gainesville/Hall 96' (Olympics venue) Morgan House<br /> 9:45 Economic Development Kit Dunlap<br /> <br /> The presentations are the first item on the agenda for Thursday's work session, which will begin at 9:00 at in the Bill William's Conference Room on the third floor of the city Administration Building.<br /> <br /> Also on the agenda is a formal resolution opposing the state's Transportation<br /> Funding Act of 2015, which is now before the state legislature. Gainesville officials and other local officials around the state have expressed opposition to the measure. (See earlier story. First link below.)
