GAINESVILLE - Hall County Probate Court is preparing to launch a Court Visitor's Program to support individuals who wards of the state and have limited or no family and friend support in their lives.

As a part of the program, volunteers will go out once each month to visit an incapacitated adult ward at the facility where the person lives. Volunteers will also attend a monthly meeting at the courthouse to report experiences, needs, etc. to the Probate Court and to the representative of the state department that oversees these adult wards.

There is no need for specialized skills, just the ability to offer companionship and a bit of social interaction to the individuals. Would-be volunteers should call the Hall County Probate Court at 770-531-6921.
