MADISON -- Defending Class AAA state traditional champ Jefferson placed all 13 wrestlers into next week's state tournament after a dominating performance Saturday at the Class AAA East Sectionals at Morgan County High School.<br />

The top eight in each weight-class advanced to the state tournament.<br />
<br />
The Dragons had seven Sectional champions. Dawson Bates (106), Mitchell McGhee (113), Ben Kelly (120), Tanner Thurmond (132), Chase Piperato (145), Will Ballard (152), and Caleb Little (182) all took titles. <br />
Price Joiner (126), Jeremy McCloskey (138), Zach Boobas (160), Deshon Lester (195), Micheal Paolozzi (220), and Nick Holman (285) all advanced for Jefferson.<br />

Area 7-AAA champ Lumpkin County also had a solid day with placing nine into the state tournament. <br />
<br />
Zach Matthews (195) was the only Indian to win a Sectional title. Logan Brown (113), Tristan Duckworth (126), Logan Benson (132), Greg Hilliard (145), Conner Heriot (152), Cole White (170), Eddie Daniel (182), Justin Cantrell (220), and Victor Ramos (285) all advanced for Lumpkin County.<br />

Banks County did not have a Sectional champion but did place eight in the state tournament. Undefeated Chris McCrackin (126) was the favorite but was knocked off in the semifinals for his first loss of the season and finished third.<br />

Devin Mullinax (106), Corey Turner (120), Dylan Suttles (132), Clayton Dykhouse (145), Chris Guthrie (160), Dylan Gouine (170), and Matt Dilbeck (195) all advanced to the state tournament for the Leopards.<br />

For Dawson County, Harrison Adams (138) took a Sectional title. Justin Evans (113), Jeremy Whalen (145), Brett Whalen (182), Gavin Brown (195), and Ty Williams (285) also advanced for the Tigers.<br />
<br />
Jackson County did not have a Sectional champ but did have five finish second. Luke Gonzalez (113), Brian Carranza (120), Connor Crump (132), Zak Evans (152), and Chuckie Allen (182) all took runner-up spots. Jacob Love (126) and Hunter Allen (170) also advanced for the Panthers.<br />
<br />
East Hall sent four through to the state tournament. James Stoudenmire (106), Angel Vargas (113), Will Davidson (126), and Kevin Thompson (195) advanced for the Vikings.<br />
<br />
Fannin County placed three in Justin Wheat (106), Kayleb Chancey (113), and Parker Brown (138).<br />
<br />
West Hall had one Sectional champ in Elliott Raiford (160). Jesse Bridgewater (132), Adan Medina (170), and Christian Erwin (182) also advanced.<br />
<br />
East Jackson had one to advance, Jacob Lindenmeyer at 145.
