DAWSONVILLE - Georgia DOT says preliminary survey work will impact traffic briefly Saturday morning at the intersection of State Route 400 and State Route 53 in Dawsonville.

Traffic on SR 400 will be stopped for up to 15 minutes as surveyors take shots of the area from 7 a.m. to noon. These stops will occur two or three times. Crews will start on SR 400 at 7 a.m. when there is least traffic on the road. Traffic on SR 53 will also be stopped two or three times before noon.

The survey work is preliminary to the start of an $8.9 million project that will result in Georgia's first continuous flow intersection. (See earlier story. Link below.)
