GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Planning Commission has approved separate applications dealing with plans for an agri-entertainment venture and an office/retail complex.
The entertainment venue is planned on 15 acres near the intersection of Pillsbury Road and Three Bridges Road.
The planning board did add a stipulation that "the operation of outside amplification shall only be permitted with wedding events. Open air/outside concerts are prohibited." This condition was added because the venue does not have any structures and all events will be conducted outdoors, according to Planning Director Srikanth Yamala.
The office/retail development site is ten acres at the Old Winder Highway and Howington Road intersection.
Meanwhile, Don Smallwood has been re-elected chairman of the planning commission and Chris Braswell will serve another term as vice-chairman.
