MONROE — Dawson County outscored Prince Avenue 36-14 in the second and third quarters to run away with a 62-39 victory in the semifinals of the Bulldog Classic at George Walton Academy Tuesday night.
The Tigers (7-5) will take on Lakeside of Atlanta at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the championship game.
Dawson County led just 13-12 after the first quarter but extended its lead 28-20 by halftime and blew the game open in the third quarter to take a 49-26 lead into the final period.
Jeremiah Crumley led the Tigers with 18 points. Gabe Bryant added 13 points and Cullen Reed 12 for Dawson County.
Prince Avenue was led by Dalton McCler with 10 points.
