Flooding around Lake Rabun prompts road closures

The Georgia State Patrol reported that some roads around Lake Rabun in northeast Georgia have been closed as the result of flooding.

Troopers said the lake level rose to such high levels overnight that water had to be released downstream, and that caused flooding of some roads below the dam.

As of 7 a.m. Tuesday, the following roads in the area remained closed:
