JEFFERSON - Thirty-six teachers, including ten from the Gainesville and Hall County school systems, have been awarded Bright Ideas grants by Jackson Electric Membership Corporation (JEMC).

Eight are from the Hall County system and two from Gainesville.  Bright Ideas is a new program that recognizes and rewards innovative and creative classroom projects by teachers in public middle schools in the Jackson EMC service area.  Educators in grades 6-8 earn up to $2,000 for classroom projects that are not covered by general education funds.
