WINDER—Three alleged armed robbers are behind bars in the Barrow County Detention Center following their arrest on Tuesday.

Winder residents, 17-year-old Kelby Fair, 17-year-old Dylan Ray Strong and 18-year-old Manuel Villagomez are believed to be responsible for a pair of armed robberies within the last week.

Strong and Villagomez are accused of robbing the Circle K gas station on West May Street at gunpoint on Tuesday. A Winder Police Officer noticed the two suspects running from the store with some sort of clothing covering their faces, according to a press release.

The officer spoke with a store clerk, who said that the two suspects had just robbed her at gun point.

Both suspects were said to have hand guns on them.

Police were able to locate a vehicle at the scene, which contained cash, bandanas, ski masks and two small hand guns.

The crime is believed to be linked to another armed robbery at a Chevron gas station on North Broad Street on Saturday.

Fair is accused in that incident, but not the more recent one. He faces a charge of armed robbery.

Villagomez and Strong face charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Those charges stem from the Circle K incident.

Police are working to see how the two incidents are related.
