GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Police Department hosted its 13th annual “Shop with a Gainesville Cop” Friday at the Walmart on Shallowford Road.
Officers from the department, Hall County Juvenile Court personnel and Santa Claus escorted children and their families through the store, giving gifts to the children - who would not ordinarily would not be receiving much if anything this yearr. More than 25 familities were helped this year.
The police department received a cash donation from Pilgrim’s Pride to make the event possible this year.
