BUFORD - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is about to embark on a renovation project that will close Two Mile Creek Park for about four months.
The park, situated at the end of Bethel Road on Lake Lanier in Forsyth County, is scheduled to close on Thursday and remain closed until April 17, according to officials at the Corps' Lake Lanier Project Management Office in Buford.
"The park will be closed for total renovation to include paving, adding a new parking lot, adding new picnic sites and a walking trail," a Corps news release states.
Corps officials suggested boaters use the boat ramp at Bethel Park on Swiss Air Road, about a mile north of Two Mile Creek Park.
