HOMER — Zac Orr poured in 26 points and snagged 21 rebounds to lead Banks County to a 66-50 win over Chestatee Saturday at the Nanks County gym.
Chestatee (0-5) stayed close for the first three quarters. The Leopards (5-0) led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter but the War Eagles used an 18-11 second quarter to tie the game at 32- by halftime.
Banks County clung to a slim 44-42 lead heading into the fourth quarter but exploded for a 22-8 fourth quarter burst to pull away for the win.
Kalmal Wiley added 14 points and six rebounds and Zez Steeple had 12 points and six assists for the Leopards.Trevae Cain had seven points and 10 rebounds for Banks County.
Banks County will get back in action Tuesday playing host to West Hall in both teams' Region 7-AAA openers.
