MADISON — The Buford girls fell behind early, mounted a third quarter rally, but eventually dropped their first game of the season 53-46 to Morgan County Saturday night.

Morgan County opened the game with a 17-8 first quarter and extended its lead to 39-26 by halftime as Bufoird had trouble stopping the Lady Bulldogs offense.

But the Lady Wolves (3-1) held Morgan County scoreless in the third quarter to close within 39-36 heading into the fourth quarter. Buford held the Lady Bulldogs to just three field goals in the fourth quarter but could not reclaim the lead.
