JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — Cierra Jackson and Jordan Livesay scored 18 points each, but No. 21 Carson-Newman led wire-to-wire for an 86-65 victory over the University of North Georgia women's basketball team on Thursday evening in CNU's Holt Fieldhouse.

Carson-Neman scored the game's first 10 points and never looked back as the Eagles improve to 5-1 on the season.

Livesay netted 14 of her 18 points in the first half, while Jackson scored all but two of her 18 in the second period.

Jackson completed her fourth double-double of the season with a game-high 14 rebounds, marking the fourth consecutive game the senior guard has collected double figure rebounds.

Kelsey Hutchins pitched in with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the floor and six rebounds, marking the fifth consecutive game that the junior forward has scored in double figures.

The Eagles had 12 different players score in double figures led by 15 from Kailyn Brooks and 11 from Tatum Burstrom. Burstrom also crested the 1,000-point career plateau in the win.

North Georgia will take 11 days off before returning to action on Monday, Dec. 14 with a non-conference home game against Reinhart. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 in UNG's Memorial Hall.
