KANSAS CITY, Mo. — University of North Georgia senior midfielder Jade Pennock has been named to the second team of the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-America Team. It is the first All-America nod for Pennock and she becomes just the fourth player in program history to earn the distinct honor.
The Pontefract, England native transferred to North Georgia from Montevallo for graduate school and made the most of her final year of eligibility on the pitch. Pennock scored nine goals on the season with four assists and 22 points.
After being named one of the team's captains, Pennock made an immediate impact in the UNG midfield, helping fill the void in the loss of Cicely Taliaferro who was named an All-American a season ago.
Pennock will still be apart of the women's soccer program next season, staying on as a graduate assistant coach as she completes her Masters degree.
