CLERMONT—A South Georgia man is half a million dollars richer after a pass through Hall County.
Richard Mixon of Port Wentworth picked up a "Merry Money" holiday-themed lottery ticket at the Citgo Food Mart on Cleveland Highway in Clermont that turned into $500,000.
Mixon claimed his prize November 17 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah, according to a news release from the organization.
