DAHLONEGA — The University of North Georgia women's basketball team held Lenoir-Rhyne scoreless for 10 minutes and 50 seconds of game time during a 23-0 run to complete the come-from-behind win Monday night, 57-47, in UNG's Memorial Hall.

The Bears led 29-14 with 2:18 left in the first half before North Georgia ended the half on a 6-0 run and continued into the second half scoring the first 17 points of the third quarter.

After trailing by nine at the break, North Georgia outscored Lenoir-Rhyne 37-18 in the final two quarters of play.

Kelsey Hutchins came off the bench and worked around early foul trouble to lead the Nighthawks with 15 points, including nine in the 23-point run. She also pulled down five rebounds.

Julie McKie and Jordan Livesay both contributed double-digit efforts for UNG, scoring 11 and 10, respectively.

Cierra Jackson stretched her double-digit rebounding streak to three consecutive games, pulling down 11 against Lenoir-Rhyne. Ten of those were defensive rebounds.

Madi Suddreth led the Bears with a game-high 13 points.

The Nighthawks start 6-0 for the second consecutive season. Last year, the 6-0 start was ended by Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, N.C. 77-65.
