MARIETTA - A grand jury in Marietta has indicted a northeast Georgia woman accused of stealing 131 underwear garments from a Wal-Mart store in Cobb County.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1jpHpux ) reports that Julia Marie Jones of Jasper was arrested in June after she allegedly tried to conceal the underwear worth $749.95 in her purse, a handbag and grocery bags.

Jones has been charged with felony theft by shoplifting.

Meanwhile, authorities in Virginia say they are seeing an increase in underwear thefts in that state.  Click here http://accesswdun.com/article/2015/11/352630 for that story.
