GAINESVILLE — Discovery won the boys Turkey Shootout Tournament at Chestatee High Tuesday with a 71-61 victory over White County in the finals.
The Titans (3-2) hit 10 3-pointers in the game to hold the Warriors (3-1). It also avenged a season-opening loss to White County last week.
White County's Whit Mauney was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 25 points a game during the three-day event. John Ward also had a big tournament for the Warriors averaging 21 points a game.
The Warriors will be back in action next Tuesday traveling to Stephens County.
