DAWSONVILLE — At the start of the season, Dawson County football players knew their team had plenty of potential -- but this has them pinching themselves a little bit.

The Tigers (9-3) have marauded into the state quarterfinals for the first time in program history -- in their first season under a new head coach.

That said, Sid Maxwell's charges aren't just happy to be here, and Dawson County has now gone from a mindset of "we believe we can," to "we know we can." And the Tigers are pumped at the prospect of continuing their incredible postseason run when they play host to Blessed Trinity (11-0-1) on Friday in Dawsonville.

AccessWDUN's and Friday Game Night's Morgan Lee recently caught up with two Dawson County senior standouts -- Andrew Goley and AJ Maner -- to talk about their incredible season, the big task ahead, and the mindset that has now engulfed the program. (Simply click "play" on the video above to watch an interview with Goley and Maner.)
