GAINESVILLE — Yaz Hagins poured in 20 points to lead Johnson to a 74-68 overtime win over Chestatee Monday in a consolation game in the Turkey Shootout at the Chestatee gym.
Johnson (2-2) led late before the War Eagles (0-2) tied the game at 61 at the end of regulation.
The Knights outscored Chestatee 13-7 in the overtime to earn the win.
Andrew Sims added 18 points for Johnson.
Chestatee was paced by Cooper Wilson, who had a game-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers. Barron King added 10 points and Mikey Petraroi had 11 for the War Eagles.
Johnson next will play Creekview at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for fifth place in the tournament. Chestatee will play West Hall at 10:30 a.m. in the seventh-place game.
