GAINESVILLE - During the past two months, Free Chapel http://www.freechapel.org has increased efforts to significantly impact the Gainesville Community through their “Heart For Gainesville” Campaign. Hundreds of people have joined the campaign and are now actively serving in on-going ministry outreaches such as Meals on Wheels, Georgia Food Bank, Good News at Noon, Prison Ministries, Senior Care and other local community based projects.

This past Sunday, the volunteers of Free Chapel gathered thousands of bags filled with food and canned goods at all four of their campus locations in Gainesville; Suwanee; Spartanburg, SC; and Orange County, CA. The donations will go to local food pantries surrounding each campus location.

During the services, Free Chapel honored the first responders in the community and the day was topped off with a community block party featuring food, inflatables and family activities.
