TIGER — Rabun County is back in the second round of the state playoffs for a second straight season after storming past Bremen 49-14 on Friday in Tiger.

The Wildcats (10-1) used their balanced offensive attack to clinch a spot in the second round -- rushing for 222 yards and passing for 261. Meanwhile, the Rabun defense allowed just one offensive touchdown from visitors -- and that came in the fourth quarter.

Bremen did tie the game 7-7 on a kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter, but Charlie Woerner hauled in a 54-yard touchdown pass from Bailey Fisher to put the Wildcats in front 14-7 at the half. Rabun charged out of the locker rooms, scoring four straight touchdowns to pull away for good.

Fisher finished the game with two rushing scores and three passing touchdowns against one interception -- and Woerner proved by far his top target, as the senior hauled in eight catches for 186 yards and two scores. Eli Gipson also rushed for 132 yards and caught a touchdown pass.

Rabun County will play host to Early County next week in Tiger.
