CLEVELAND - The victim of a flash fire earlier this week in White County has died from her injuries.
Autumn Gail Wade, 22, died Friday at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, according to information released by WhitField Funeral Home in Baldwin.
Wade received severe burns over most of her body when the flash fire occurred at a mobile home in south White County.
The State Fire Marshal's Office, after an investigation of the incident, took out a reckless conduct warrant for 47-year-old Robert Gaddis of Cleveland, the maintenance person at the mobile home park where the flash fire occurred.
White County Sheriff ‘s Office spokesman Capt. Tim Chapman said Friday the charges stem from when Gaddis allegedly hooked up a gas stove but not a heater, thus leaving an open gas line.
Chapman said White County sheriff's investigators are continuing their investigation and additional charges could be filed.
State Fire Marshal's Office Public Information Officer Laura Wright said by email Saturday that local law enforcement will determine whether or not to upgrade the charges against Gaddis.
