CUMMING — A Forsyth County boy who had been reported missing late last week was located safe Sunday afternoon.
Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Epifanio Rodriguez said 6-year-old Trevor Cargle was turned over to authorities by a family member.
His mother, Amber Fisher, who had taken the boy, turned herself in a few hours later. Fisher did not have custodial rights to the child, according to authorities. Rodriguez said she remains in jail on a contempt of court charge.
Rodriguez said he was unaware of where Fisher and the child had been for the three days they were gone.
