COMMERCE — Commerce stormed to a 28-0 first half lead en route to a 35-9 defeat George Walton Academy in Commerce.
Cole Chancey paced the Tigers (6-3, 5-2 Region 8-A) with 12 rushes for 116 yards.
J'Varius Wood got the scoring going with a 41-yard touchdown run. He also had a 5-yard TD run in the third quarter and a 71-yard touchdown catch from Caleb Brooks in the second quarter.
Chancey added a 35-yard TD run in the first half burst.
Braxton Legg recorded 8 tackles for the Tigers. Garrett Ash added 7 stops.
Commerce will finish out its regular season next Friday at Lakeview Academy.
