GAINESVILLE - The Director of Elementary Education for the Hall County School District (HCSD) is in line to become Executive Director of Lanier Charter Career Academy (LCCA) and the district's Leadership Development Program.

Currently, David Moody serves the district as Director of Elementary Education. Prior to this school year, he had served as World Language Academy (WLA) Principal for grades pre-K through 8 since WLA first opened in the fall of 2008.

“LCCA is ready to expand services and offerings through partnerships with Lanier Technical College, community service agencies, and businesses to provide new and exciting pathways to careers for their students," said Hall County Schools Supt. Will Schofield, who plans to recommend Moody for the LCCA post.  "Dave Moody is someone who embraces this vision and understands the leadership needed to make it successful.”

In addition to chief administrator at LCCA, Moody is also Schofield's choice to serve as executive director of HCSD’s Leadership Development Program, which offers specialized training and instruction for certified staff who seek to become future administrators.

Schofield's recommendation is scheduled to be presented to the Hall County Board of Education next month.
