UNG's Hutchins voted to PBC women's basketball preseason All-Conference team

University of North Georgia women's basketball player Kelsey Hutchins has been voted as a Peach Belt Conference preseason All-Conference team as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. The six-player team was selected by the league's head coaches and represent six different PBC schools.

The junior from Lawrenceville had an impressive sophomore season a year ago as she was named third-team All-Conference while starting all 30 games for the Nighthawks. She was second on the team and 12th in the conference with 13.5 points per game. She was also second on the squad with 7.2 rebounds per game and led the league in free throw percentage.

Hutchins and the Nighthawks open the 2015-16 season on Nov. 13-14 when they host the Peach Belt / Conference Carolinas Conference Challenge presented by Steak-N-Shake. 

Michelle Mitchell was the unanimous top pick by all head coaches in the voting. The reigning co-PBC Player of the Year, she was named an All-American by the WBCA and Daktronics after leading the PBC in scoring with 20.1 ppg.

Armstrong State's Brigitta Barta was named the PBC Freshman of the Year in 2013-14 and first-team All-Conference in 2014-15. Now back for her junior season, the native of Budapest, Hungary, averaged 17.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last year. 

USC Aiken's Emry Tsitouris was named the PBC Freshman of the Year in 2014-15. Returning for her sophomore campaign, the Monroe, N.C., native played in all 30 games with 24 starts in her first season, leading the team with 11.5 points per game. 

Lander's Ty'Hesha Reynolds led the Peach Belt in assists a year ago and was named second-team All-Conference. A returning junior from Savannah, Ga., she led the team and was 14th in the PBC with 12.5 ppg.

Augusta University's Kariel Hutt was a second-team All-Conference selection in her first year in the PBC. A returning senior from Blue Springs, Mo., she was second in the PBC in total rebounds and rebounds per game with 10.3 per contest.
